My Go-To for Everything Leather

Exactly what I hoped for. The leather feels substantial, the stitching is clean, and it holds its shape through daily wear. The buckle sits flat, the edges are finished properly, and after months of use it still looks like a new piece. This is the kind of thing you buy once and keep.

A Gift He Actually Talks About

Bought this as a gift and it was an instant favorite. The finish is beautiful, the hardware feels solid, and the fit was right the first time. He has not taken it off since. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for something that lasts.

Best Belt I Have Ever Owned

The difference is obvious the moment you pick it up. It is thick, supple, and built like a piece of equipment rather than an accessory. Two years in and it still looks great, with no cracking or stretching.

Made to Last a Lifetime

I have gone through plenty of belts that cracked, stretched, or split at the buckle, and I was ready to give up on them. This one shows no sign of any of that. It was comfortable from the first day, the finish has aged nicely, and the hardware still looks new. I would absolutely buy it again.

Hanks Milestones

1949

The story starts in a small Army & Navy surplus store, where the shelves were stocked with quality goods sold at a fair price. Long hours and honest service set the standard from the very first day, and customers came back for the value.

Mid 50's

The business is purchased and continues with military surplus, then slowly adds clothing and sporting goods to make the assortment its own.

Mid 60's

Steady growth and twelve to fourteen hour days point to expansion. A new building, followed by an addition a year later, finally gives the room needed to grow.

Early 70's

Retail changes and so does the assortment. Casual clothing and footwear join the mix, while the focus stays on quality workwear and leather goods made in the USA.

80's

A challenging decade for retailers as cheap imports arrive from around the world. It would have been tempting to follow the market, but the focus stayed on quality and service. Products made in the USA meant something, and that commitment became the cornerstone of the business.

1992

A founder passes away in 1992, but the legacy built over four decades keeps shaping the business. He left a mark on everyone who met him, known for a tireless work ethic, a firm handshake, and a deep love for family. The values he set are still part of every decision.

Early 2000's

A new century begins with a move into another new location, this one specializing in workwear and footwear. A separate department is created for leather belts and leather goods, which have grown from a small side line into a core part of the business and keep customers coming back.

2001

The first website launches with the core colors and a small catalog. It grows into many styles and finishes, while design and manufacturing stay in the USA.

2011

A move into a new 30,000 square foot facility makes room for the next stage of growth. The leather range expands beyond belts to include wallets, dog accessories, and other goods made to the same standard.

2024

A new customer service center opens with trained representatives who can be reached by phone, chat, or email. Fast, knowledgeable answers are part of the service promise, just as they were at the start.
